The alternative energy market has been growing year upon year, and bio fuels are seen as a major alternative energy source of the future. Renewable biofuels made from corn and other plants are a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. However, a major criticism of biofuels is the amount of arable land required to grow the plants required for bio fuels, and with growing populations and food shortages around the world, it may not seem feasible. The bio fuel industry however states that numerous parts of crops that are not eaten, and would normally be thrown away could be converted into bio fuel, creating greater opportunity for agriculture not creating problems.
